An interactive tournament showcasing forms and weapons from dojos around the United States.
Bring your school inNMAO Tournament League exists to give students across the nation a stage. Every student, in every dojo, at every rank, deserves the chance to compete, to grow, and to be seen. Students compete each month by video from their own dojo, judged by experienced martial artists, building a season-long record of their growth.
This is more than a tournament. It is a community of dojos rising together. Students earn the spotlight, schools share in regular revenue and in the grand-finale cash prizes, and experienced instructors earn well-paying judging positions. We built it for you, first.
Film one form or weapons video on a phone, up to 2 angles for a clear view. That's the entry. One round a month.
Division pods of no more than 15, sorted by age, rank, and rating, reshuffled each round for a fair chance every time.
Scored by experienced martial artists, paid well for their craft. Effort is honored as loudly as outcome.
Between tournaments, competitors nationwide face off head to head, and the community votes on who prevails.
Nine monthly rounds lead to the semi-finals and a grand finale. Your best five rounds count, so a month you miss never breaks your season.
Start light, or build a program. Any school finds its fit.
A dedicated squad that competes every month. Deepest engagement, a competition-team identity, and the steadiest monthly revenue.
One age group per season: January 7–9, April 10–13, July 14–17, October 18+. Each cohort gets its own moment, spread across the year.
Once a year, the whole school enters together. Lowest commitment, a signature yearly tradition.
Make monthly competition a foundational part of your school. A culture of competition builds the motivation and retention that compound, student by student, year over year.
The same engine that runs the national season is yours to run in-house — your students, your event, your rules.
Open it free or charge for entry.
Score with NMAO's criteria or bring your own. The judging tools, video, and instant results are ready either way.
Forms, weapons, hand mitt training, workout challenges — the choice is yours.
Every round earns a segment of the season medallion, in the metal your student placed. Nine pieces make the whole.
Placing earns medals, but progress earns badges. Every competitor is recognized for milestones, effort, and steady growth, so a student who did not place still leaves with something earned, and every reason to come back stronger.
Nothing to join. Students pay a small entry per round, and up to 40% of every entry comes back to your school each month.
Very little. Your students film one video a month from your mat. Judging, scoring, and divisions are handled for you.
A phone and your mat. One form or weapons video, up to two angles. That's the entry.
Between tournament rounds, your students face other competitors head to head — one video against another — and the community votes on the winner. It keeps them competing all month long.
No. Your best five of nine rounds count, so a missed month never breaks a season, and you can host your own in-house events any time.
